Hand painted Vienna Bronze - Arabian Crocodile Hunters - Bergmann

This freestanding Viennese bronze figurine strikingly captivates a spectacular snapshot into bronze that could have happened like this in Ancient Egypt. Consisting of a group of connected figurines, this Viennese bronze statue depicts two crocodile hunters on the chase. Equipped with spears, knives and ropes, they are both ready to slay the captured crocodile. The artistic implementation in the area of the surface design as well as the painting is particularly impressive in this piece of art. The detailed realisation of the depicted materials and surfaces breathes life into this small bronze sculpture. At a closer inspection, this becomes particularly apparent with the smooth falling clothes of the hunters and the expertly realised crocodile armour. The elaborate bronze figurine was additionally refined by a painting done by hand as well as partial polishings. The Vienna bronze is furthermore equipped with the Bergmann stamp.
