This decorative bronze statue is a very special hunting trophy. Placed on a discreet, black marble base, the signed bronze statue depicts the shape of a noble stag. The slightly abstracted stag bust is characterised by a very detailed design, which almost brings the stag head to life. A special stamp print patina in discreet red and brown tones creates a unique marbling that refines the bronze statue even more. The bronze bust, which is signed by Bonheur, is an homage to hunters and especially to the awareness of traditions that are a part of hunting. Bonheur’s bronze stag has an opulent, but not overwhelming size that enables a flexible room placement. Of course, this decorative figurine is especially suited for surroundings that are coined by hunting traditions, such as a cosy fireside lounge or hunting room.
The production of our numerous bronze sculptures is done via the so-called lost wax technique. Strict quality guidelines guarantee the impeccable quality of our bronze products. Every sculpture is cast and refined by hand.
Isidore Jules Bonheur was born in Bordeaux, France in 1827. His vision for the depiction of animalistic motifs made Bonheur an exceptional artist. He skilfully created depictions of stags, lions, bulls and hound dogs, among other things. Isidore Jules Bonheur died in Paris in 1901.
