Straightforward, refined, compact. The contemporary statue Sunbeam by Otakar Švec is an absolute cult figure made of the finest bronze. It shows the black patinated figure of a motorcyclist in a curved position, placed on a black marble base. The futuristic bronze sculpture has a proud length of 62 centimetres. It is limited to 20 copies, consecutively numbered and signed by the artist. The motif was designed and produced for the first time in the 1920s. It is a snapshot that documents the dynamic movement of the motorcyclist on his racing machine. The monochrome bronze statue is timeless, iconic and will undoubtedly become the centre of attraction in any room.

Otakar Švec was a Czech-born sculptor who is primarily associated today with his monumental granite memorial to Stalin in Prague. Another very important work is the sculpture Sunbeam - Motorcyclist (1924), which is now exhibited in the National Gallery in Prague.
