Isidore Jules Bonheur was born in Bordeaux, France, in 1827. His perspective in regard to the depiction of animal motifs made Bonheur an exceptional artist. During his career, he skillfully created, among others, bronze sculptures of deer, lions, bulls and hunting dogs, always putting their bodies in relation to a kind of situational drama. Isidore Jules Bonheur died in 1901 in Paris.
