Product description
"Art Nouveau Bronze Character Head - Faunus - Jean Carries"
Weight | 5 kg |
This exclusive Art Nouveau bronze character head was made by Jean-Joseph Marie Carries in 1885 and allegorizes a sleeping Faunus. The sculpture is made with high artistical detail, for example the beard, the ears and the wrinkles in the faunus' face seem very natural. The impressive Art Nouveau bronze of the sleeping faunus will be an enrichment for each collection. The mythic piece of art consists of 100% bronze and is signed by its sculptor Carries on the reverse side.
As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.
