Product description

"Modern Bronze - The Flute Player (1936) - signed Ernst Barlach"

Weight 3,1 kg

What a lovely bronze figure! This little boy is playing his flute and forgetting the outside world. His eyes shut, leaning back and relaxing on a rock - no one seems to be able to interrupt his concentrated and harmonic play. This famous sculpture signed by the German artist Ernst Barlach is made of 100% bronze and emits an atmosphere of calm and ease. It invites the observer to stand still and listen to the wonderful melodies the little boy might be playing. The figure is accompanied by a helmet as well as a blanket and boots. This might indicate that the boy is playing at war time in order to forget the horrors around him. This petite sculpture will definitely upgrade every collection of fine art pieces.

As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.
