The well-known Portuguese artist Miguel Fernando Lopez (short: Milo) was born in 1955 in Portugal’s capital Lisbon and has been living there ever since. Milo studied arts and sculpting at the local university and after his studies achieved international recognition due to his modern and diverse sculptures. For the most part, Milo concentrates on animal sculptures, act plastics, abstract and modern pieces of work. Milo did great work while creating a very detailed animal sculpture. The heron is shown in a natural and realistic way with its typical shape of its body; long legs, a long pecker, wide wings and a jugular formed like the letter "s". The bird heron is a fresh-water bird, which is also living in costal areas belongs to the family of Ardeidaes.
