"Modern Art Sculpture - Standing Female Nude - after G. Lachaise"
Weight | 20,4 kg |
This Modern Art Large Sculpture with the title “Standing Nude Female” was inspired by the artwork of the great sculptor Gaston Lachaise. The sculpture is an image of a standing nude woman, turning her face lightly up to the sky and folding her arms behind her back while she is looking confidently at the observer. The female nude sculpture is equipped with attractive attributes and executed in a very modern way. Her well-shaped body with well-rounded hips looks kind of blurred, even every single detail, like her belly bottom, is easily visible. Especially her face is designed kind of unambiguous; therefore it appears like a mask. The sculpture is a great combination of round-shaped and geometric forms with some special details like the elegant haircut and the flat feet. “Standing Nude Female” was affixed on a small bronze base coloured like the sculpture. Even this modern and large sculpture is designed in a very plain fashion, therefore making the sculpture appear very elegant as well as impressive. This bronze figure is a great example for the variation of Modern Art made of finest bronze. Furthermore this sculpture was signed by the artist.

As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-casted in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.
All of our sculptures are also suitable for the laying-out in a garden area, where a typical bronze patina will present itself after some time, due to the weather.
This Modern Art Large Sculpture was inspired by the artwork of Gaston Lachaise.Lachaise was a well-known French-US-American artist and sculptor, who was born on March 19, 1882 in Paris, France. Lachaise was interested in art ever since he was a little child and by the age of 16 Lachaise started to attend the famous École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris, where his great talent was noticed by his teachers whilst he learned the basic techniques of sculpting. A bust of his sister Ally was one of his first artworks and reached a lot attention; his teachers decided to send Lachaise to the Salon des Artistes Francais in Paris, where he finally exhibited this sculpture. Everything went well for the great and famous artist-to-be until he met the Franco-Canadian Isabel Dutaud Nagle, a married woman. He felt in love with her and wanted to leave Europe together with his muse and sweetheart Isabel. But as he was a poor student, he had to work hard to earn a significent amount of money to pay the journy to the USA. There he started to work for the artist René Lalique. After he arrived at the United States he continued to work as an assistant; this time for the sculptor Henry Hudson. Besides his work at the studio of Hudson Lachaise created several sculptures of Isabel. In 1913 he reached first success with his artwork, his sculpture “Naked Woman with Coat” was exhibited this year and helped him to recieve more commissions. Lachaise dedicated his sculptures with huge breasts and tiny skinny legs to the beauty of the female anatomy. Lachaise, who inspired the sculptor making this great “Standing Female Nude” died in 1935 in New York.
