Cup / Sports Trophy Golf Player - signed Milo

The sports trophy with the name “golf player” was made by the Portuguese artist Milo and pictures an attractive and young female golf player following the ball she just hit. The sculpture was made of 100 % bronze and is a great portray of a young and sportive woman. One of the highlights of this modern sculpture is the filigree and detailed execution of the sculpture by the artist Milo. The sculptor created many filigree details like the shoelaces that make the sculpture looking very natural. But the sculpture is also characterized by a very dynamic expression of the posture of the young woman. All in all the modern cup or sports trophy is an innovative work of art, that Milo completed by affixing it on a solid marble-base. The high marble-base is a great background of the sculpture made and signed by Milo.

The artist and sculptor Milo was born on June 12, 1955 in Lisbon and is a freelance artist who studied at the University of Lisbon and who is nowadays known all over Europe. The artist is still living at his birthplace Lisbon, where he is also working and where he is creating most of his magnificent modern art sculptures, his beautiful animal sculptures and his great nude sculptures. The shown female golf player is one of Milo’s latest artworks and was dedicated to his woman, who loves playing golf. The origins of the modern club and ball sport can be found in Scotland in the 15^th century but the ancient origins are unknown. Some voices declare that golf was invented somewhere in Continental Europe. But there is no proof for this theory. Regardless of where the sport was originally founded, this ball game is mentioned as a sport for upper-class people. Aim of the game is bringing the ball through the golf course and grounding the ball in the holes by teeing. The winner is the one who grounds the ball with the fewest shots. The game is played by the official rules of golf on a course of at least nine holes but up to 18 holes. The course is not standardized; therefore each course is characterized by a unique design. The diameter of the ball must be at least 42,67 millimeters but the weight should not overstep 45,93 grams. One of the best known professional golf tours are the U.S. Masters. The U.S. Masters Tournament is part of professional golf and one of the four major championships. The tournament is scheduled on the first week of April and takes place at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, USA. The professional golf player Tiger Woods won the tournament in April 1997 with only twelve tees. This was the first triumph of Tiger Woods, who is nowadays known as the most successful golf player all over the word.
