Modern Art Animal Bronze - Squirrel with Nut - signed Milo

Milo’s modern animal bronze “Squirrel with Nut” is a charming bronze sculpture that shows a little squirrel sitting on an oversized nut. The figure is an interesting design that displays the essential tasks of hunt and search for nutrition. Even though the proportions of the squirrel and the nut are slightly unrealistic, both – squirrel and nut – are designed in great detail and as close to nature as possible. Milo created this modern sculpture using 100% finest bronze and it bears his signature. The high, cylindrically shaped marble base that  the sculpture is affixed on reminds of a pedestal, raising the artworks impression and ambience.

Milo is a very talented Portuguese artist who was born on July 12, 1955 in Lisbon by the name of Miguel Fernando Lopez. He is known to be a great sculptor that most notably creates different kinds of bronze figures. Besides modern art figures, he also creates nude sculptures and animal casts such as thisone here. The bronze figure “Squirrel with Nut” is a very life-like image, thanks to Milo's extensive studies regarding the anatomy of the small animal, before creating this bronze sculpture. By incorporating the smallest details into his design, Milo has created a perfect image of the petite, furry rodent.
