Product description
"Abstract Bronze Head on a marble base after Henry Moore"
Weight | 4,6 kg |
The „Abstract Bronze Head“ is modelled in a shape of the abstract sculptures of Henry Moore. The abstract and asymmetrical shape of the face and the compact rear partextracts itself from a short and fast interpretation. The everted mouth, the crooked nose and the eyes, which are only hinted at here, have a human character and vitality – although in a strange way. The narrow neck threatens to collapse under the burden of its massive and over-proportionated head. The reduction to the essentials is an established procedure in the visual arts, which prompts the most diverse interpretations. The essential is in the eye of the beholder. In contrast with painting, the abstract style in the sculptural and plastic arts became familiar in later years. The sculpture is signed and positioned on a black marble cube.
