Bronze Statue - Torso of Adele 1884 - signed Auguste Rodin

The original of the famous "Torso of Adele" was made in 1882 by Auguste Rodin. He designed the female nude with a soft outward appearance, curved forms and sweeping lines, which are unmistakable. Rodin perfectly mastered the interplay of light and shadow - realized by peaks and valleys of the surface. The unique dynamics of the surface is the distinctive characteristic of Rodin’s sculptures. He raised his torso to a separate class of visual arts. The original of "Adele" is located at the Musée de Louvre, Paris. The sculpture is signed with A. Rodin and placed on a marble pedestal.
