Bronze Statue on Marble - Jumping Elephant - signed by Milo

This bronze sculpture is a high quality homage to Rembrandt Bugatti’s impressive animal figure. The agile elephant with its skyward trunk is an imposing animal sculpture for private and business use, sculptured by the Portuguese artist Milo. The elephant is reminiscent of the famous elephant sculpture by the Italian artist Rembrandt Bugatti: A standing elephant, he designed for his brother and automobile manufacturer Ettore Bugatti, as a persiflage on the winged Rolls-Royce mascot “Spirit of Ecstasy”. It served as a mascot of all Bugatti Royale models. The sculpture is mounted on a solid marble base and marked with the signature of the artist Milo.

As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections. The sculpture was manufactured as a smeltable wax model. The sculpture is mounted on a black marble base and is equipped with the signature of the artist Milo.

The Portuguese artist Milo is specialized in the production of modern nude and animal sculptures. Milo completed a degree in Fine Arts and has since been working as a freelance sculptor. With his wife and his son Pablo, also practicing art, he lives and works in the suburbs of Lisbon.
