The little “Bulldog” mountedon green marble, is a high quality home accessory for people fond of small-sized animal sculptures. The Bulldog is a so-called "Vienna bronze", the original of it was cast in the famous Bergmann foundry. The Vienna Bronze foundries have been in existence since 1850. Franz Bergmann, the original owner, designed countless bronze figures. The figure on the left is hallmarked with the Bergmann-stamp. The faithful execution of this dog looks wonderful for both indoors and outdoors and can be very suitable as a gift.

As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections. The sculpture was manufactured as a smeltable wax model. The sculpture is mounted on a green marble base.

Viennese bronzes are famous and distinguished by their naturalistic and detailed representation of human figures, and all species of animals, ranging from Oriental bazaars or elegant erotic nudes to birds of prey or amusing frogs, owls, dogs, cats, and small animals, acting like people or as themselves.
