As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-casted in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.
Giovanni Duprè (1817-1882), son of a woodcarver, was a renowned Italian sculptor and medalist, who made medals of bronze and clay. As a sculptor, he celebrated his first success with his sculpture Abel in 1842. 1845 he created Cain, the counterpart of Abel. Both sculptures were housed in the Palazzo Pitti. His greatest sculptural work is the monument of the first Prime Minister of Italy: Camillo Benso di Cavour. This monument was presented in 1872 by Giovanni Duprè.
