Street scene in New York - Martin Klein - oil on canvas

The adjoining acrylic painting is a street scene from the U.S. city of New York. Of particular note are the yellow cabs on the right side of the road. The taxicabs of New York City are widely recognized icons of the city, come in two varieties, yellow and green. Taxis painted canary yellow (medallion taxis) are able to pick up passengers anywhere in the five boroughs. The painting on the left was created by Martin Klein during his trip to the USA and bears the signature of the artist.

Martin Klein (* 1979 in Bischofswerda, Germany) is studying Arts and in addition to his studies, he also worked as a successful painter and sculptor. His repertoire is broad and varied: It is ranging from abstract oil paintings to modern sculptures with humorous and erotic motifs. His work has been exhibited in a number of small regional and national exhibitions. Among lovers of modern, ironic sculptures Klein enjoys a reputation as a talented young artist.
