Product description
The picture with the title "Glamour" depicts a pair of women shoes. The shoes seem to be floating in the centre of the painting. "Glamour" is understood as a symbolic extract of the consumer world. The iridescent colours that Martin Klein used here are representative of the world of consumption.
Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the mid-1950s in Britain and in the late 1950s in the United States. Pop art presented a challenge to traditions of fine art by including imagery from popular culture such as advertising, news, etc. In pop art, material is sometimes visually removed from its known context, isolated, and/or combined with unrelated material. The concept of pop art refers not as much to the art itself as to the attitudes that led to it. Pop art employs aspects of mass culture, such as advertising, comic books and mundane cultural objects.
All of our paintings are hand-made acrylic paintings or oil paintings and were produced in limited numbers. Each is signed by the artist Martin Klein.
Martin Klein (* 1979 in Bischofswerda, Germany) is studying Arts and in addition to his studies, he also worked as a successful painter and sculptor. His repertoire is broad and varied: It is ranging from abstract oil paintings to modern sculptures with humorous and erotic motifs. His work has been exhibited in a number of small regional and national exhibitions. Among lovers of modern, ironic sculptures Klein enjoys a reputation as a talented young artist.
