Bronze Sculpture - Kneeling Adonis - signed - Milo

The "Kneeling Adonis" is, it suggests his body language, an adoring and equally adorable handsome youth, which was designed by the Portuguese artist Milo. Adonis, in Greek mythology, is the god of beauty and desire, and is a central figure in various mystery religions. He is described as a beautiful youth. On the left he is designed as a well-formed, although not too youthful male figure. The sculpture is mounted on a dark marble base and bearing the signature of the artist.

As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.

Milo is a Portuguese-born sculptor, who achieved great fame with his distinctive animal sculptures and erotic plastics. Milo completed his studies of art, ever since then he worked as a freelance artist. With his wife and his son Pablo, also a promising artist of undoubted talent, he lives and works in a suburb of the Portuguese capital Lisbon.
