Theodor Eichler, who was born in 1868 in Oberspaar and died in 1946 in Meissen, is regarded as one of the most talented German porcelain sculptors and carvers in the history of art. Eichler received an extensive artistic training at both Meissen’s famous porcelain manufactory and Dresden’s Royal School of Arts and Crafts. His works are mostly oriented towards the styles of Art Nouveau and “New Objectivity”.
