Pan and the Goat – Erotic Bronze Faun with Goat –  Milo

The motif of this antique bronze is rooted in Greek mythology. This erotic nude depicts a naked faun who has sex with a goat which is lying on its back. The faun holds onto the goat's front legs while he penetrates it. Both look into each other's eyes. This depiction seems to want to be evocative of human sex. Versions of this erotic figurine are part of the collections of both the British Museum as well as the Naples Museum. In the museum of Naples, a whole room was dedicated to this exhibit, and minors under the age of 14 are only allowed inside when escorted by an adult. Our erotic figurine of Pan with the goat on a green marble base is limited to 20 pieces.

This bronze sculpture was created by Miguel Vernando Lopez, or Milo for short. Milo was born in Lisbon, where he studied art and statuary art. Contemporary art, animal sculptures and erotic nudes are his areas of expertise. He also works for our foundry as an independent artist. While travelling across Europe, he gets his inspirations from numerous works of other artists, yet the centre of his life and work is still Lisbon, where he raised three sons. Now, Milo and his wife, who he got to know during his studies, live in an idyllic suburb of Lisbon with their two cats. There, he is able to freely pursue his artistic ideas.
