Fernando Botero’s sculptures are well-known all over the world. The artist and sculptor has already exhibited his voluminous sculptures in numerous major cities, and he is said to be one of the best artists of Latin America. His sculptures are characterised by unusual shapes, combined with a certain magnificence, which turns them into invaluable works of art. This is also the case for his opulent bronze figurine Horse 06, which was exhibited in 2007 at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate. Placed on a discreet marble base, the voluminous shape and minimalistic surface structure turn this sculpture into an interesting piece of contemporary art.
