The Sacred Ibis - personification of the Egyptian moon god Thot and a symbol of fertility in Ancient Egypt. For this bronze figurine, the sculptor Martin Klein combined a traditional topic with contemporary art. The important physiognomic characteristics of the bird, such as its long, sickle-shaped beak, have been maintained. However, the bird figurine is slightly abstracted due to the almost complete lack of a shaping surface structure. This however is the basis for the applied stamp print patina, which gives the Ibis sculpture its unique coloured marbling. Some polishings, particularly in the area of the beak and the legs, accentuate the contemporary aura of the signed sculpture that has been placed on a slightly rocky base.
The production of our sculptures is done via the lost wax technique. Clearly defined quality guidelines guarantee the high quality of our bronze artworks.
