This complex viking bust is a modern image of Odin, Father of the Gods. As one of the central figures of German and Norse mythology, Odin stands for the pursuit of absolute wisdom. There are numerous myths about this Norse deity. In one of the stories, Odin even sacrificed one of his eyes in order to gain more knowledge. Depending on the lore and geographic location, the figure of Odin has many different names. He is also called the One-Eyed, Wotan or Wodan. The bronze bust aims to combine Odin’s main characteristics in a detailed manner. The name Odin is engraved on the front of the bust, which is placed on a discreet green marble base. The figurine is selectively polished, which skilfully highlights Odin’s beard, helmet, hair and eye patch.
