The contemporary bronze sculpture Floating Woman by German artist Martin Klein represents a decorative, sculptural scenery that resembles an abstract snapshot underwater. Captured in a state of complete floating, the opulent erotic nude is characterised by flowing shapes and outstretched extremities. Only the tip of the foot of this solid female figurine, who is surrounded by little fish, connects her to the wave-like ground. The abstract bronze sculpture is skilfully accentuated by a base made of ship’s plank. Floating Woman is a bronze sculpture that is limited to 20 pieces, which bear Martin Klein’s signature. The figurine was refined with a green patina, which purposefully amplifies the feeling of looking at an underwater snapshot.
