"XXL Art Nouveau Amphora - Big Bronze Vase - signed Lorenzl"
Height | 81 cm |
Width | 44 cm |
Length | 44 cm |
Weight | 31,3 kg |
This Art Nouveau amphora was designed by the Austrian sculptor and ceramicist Josef Lorenzl and depicts a typical piece of the Art Nouveau period. The opulently decorated, tall bronze vase expertly represents the high quality and level of appreciation of art that made its way into the fine arts due to the Art Nouveau movement. The Art Nouveau amphora is embellished with elaborate, naturalistic ornaments that set the motif for the depiction that is on the bronze vase. Detailed grapevines full of fruits entwine the whole amphora. The art on the amphora itself depicts an imaginative scenario that shows a group of children playing in a field. While one group of figures is sitting on the grass and eating grapes, some other children seem to be in a playful fight over the sweet fruits. The bronze amphora is placed on a discreet bronze base and is charcterised by an effective play of colours. Green patinations are combined with high gloss areas and create a play between light and shadows, which turns this big bronze Art Nouveau vase into an opulent piece of art.
The production of our bronze figurines is subject to strict quality guidelines. All of the bronze figurines in our assortment are created via the lost wax technique and are cast by hand.
